Pimp My Artwork 020: Rogue of Cups

So as you know my friend Matt Watts is the inspiration for the Rogue of Cups.  Matt is one of my favorite people in the world.  His love of life and all things creative have been a major influence in my own life to move forward and always remain positive. 

The Rogue of cups always follows his intuition.  He chases his dreams and makes them a reality, following his heart first and foremost.  He is charming and attracts many people to him through his sincere nature.  He teaches us to seek balance and follow our inner guide.

Pimp My Artwork 019: WIP- Rogue of Cups

I'm back working on the tarot again.  The color on this one is actually brighter in person, but I'm not near my scanner, so I'm working with a point and shoot and a macbook camera.  The Rogue/Knight of Cups is one of my favorite cards, as it symbolizes a person who is ruled by his heart rather than his head.  It also signifies advancement, inspiration, and balance.  The Rogue, is a dreamer, a mystic, and a genuinely charming human being. 

I chose my friend Matt Watts for the rogue card as he is one of the most genuine people I know.  He is filled with amazing stories and always optimistic for the future and what life has to offer.  He's downright inspiring. Cheers to you Matt.

This bottom one shows the layout with blocks of color & collaged paper.  There's a small border of white tape around it so that I don't smudge color around too much.  I'm a bit messy when I paint.
