Dreams Are Real 028: Two Kates Two Cities: Drive By Truckers Shows
Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 7:33PM
Last week Kate Black and I packed up our bags and headed over to DC. As you probably remember, Wes Freed was kind enough to use me as a model for the Drive-By Truckers. This led to Kate & I heading over to Bowery Ballroom to catch the show and celebrate the release of their new album Go Go Boots. The show was amazing and the Truckers treated us like royalty. Special thanks to Wes and Matador for the VIP passes.

A few days later Patterson put us on the guestlist for the DC show. Many many thanks! So Kate and I ventured over to the Capitol for some art and music. We stopped into the National Portrait Gallery where we were told backpacks must be worn in the front or carried by your side but no one was to be found when I danced through the sculptures or when we draped ourselves across the flokati.
The Drive By Truckers were once again amazing and played a gloriously long set. Thanks again guys. You are magic.
