Just a small town girl who grew up around a lot of corvettes and drum sets.  That same girl eventually got older, moved to the city, became a pinup model/artist, and started her own company.

Pimp My Artwork 046: The King & Queen of Cups

The Queen of Cups represents a woman adored by all, good natured, beautiful, and honest.  She is admired and respected by  those around her.  She represents love and creativity at its fullest and is always there when someone needs a hand, beauty at it's highest. She is  a reminder that to truly be able to give of ourselves to we need to learn to receive others and vice versa.

Lenora Claire is one of my favorite people in existance.  The moment I met her I fell in love.  Not only is she drop dead gorgeous but also incredibly kind, generous, and intuitive, the exact embodiment of the Queen of Cups.

The flowers are aquilegia pallida.  As usual they are rom a photograph taken by Jim Shirey.  Jim gave me this back story on them.

For most people it is a cure for insomnia. my neighbor purchased some columbines a few years ago. she got the native ones, orange and yellow. they must have crossed with a cultivar, because over the years all these crazy varieties have come up all around her house. they are around her barn, under their truck that hasn't run for 15 years, their old garden ... you name it. i went up there this spring looking for cinquefoil and saw these. now, these are very difficult to shoot because they move in the slightest breath of wind even when you stabilize the stalk. but this day was just before a storm and the air was perfectly still. by the time i discovered them, there were already some water drops on them. so i set up and held a piece of mat board over the camera until i ran the series. still awake?

The King of Cups represents compassion and it is an indication that you must create balance in the realm of the emotions. It is want of a deeper knowledge of the world that comes from the heart. The King of cups shows you generosity, graciousness, love, calmness, caring and will give you his healing ways. He has power in the business world and loves law and order. You would love him to be your doctor. If there were a crisis at hand, we should all hope to have this person near. -Biddy Tarot

Josh Spear is a rising star in the comedy world and good friend of my partner in this deck Sherene Schostak.
